Beautiful Christmas Bouquets!

How to create a most beautiful floral arrangement / centerpiece.  First start with a container that is low.  If the container is not one that is decorative then when adding the greens to the container place them at a downward angle so as to camouflage the container.  For fresh bouquets you will need a brick of wet floral foam and soak it accordingly and place in your container.  Add a nice mixture of evergreens like firs, cedars, pines.  Then add some hard goods like pine-cones, fake berrys (or real), shinny glass balls and pretty ribbon picks.  Lastly pick the flowers you would like in your bouquet.  Most traditional are red and whites, but you can do whatever you want!  The longest lasting for the holiday season are carnations, poms, alstromeria lilies.  But you can also add other varieties like lilies, gerberas or even star of bethlemem and of course roses.  However you build it, variety can make the prettied centerpieces because they allow for lots of different textures and colors.  Be sure to design the bouquet low so people can see over top of it to visit.  Check for water daily.  Most important have a cheery and merry fun time!

Evergreen Wreaths

One symbol of the Holidays is the Evergreen Wreath.  Whether artificial or real the Evergreen Wreath can be displayed on doors, gravesites or even indoors.  You can purchase pre-made Evergreen Wreaths at many holiday tree shops or if you are looking for an artificial wreath check your local craft store.  If you are real ambitious you can build your own by acquiring a metal wreath  frame then carefully built bundles of mixed evergreen tied with twine or wire and attach them piece by piece to the frame until the frame is full.  Mixed greens make the nicest displays with firs, cedars, pines.  Once the base is built, you can attach whatever festive decorations you like to create your unique wreath.  You can attach with wire or hot glue, whichever you prefer.  Some fun ideas are silk holiday flower buds, pine cones, berrys, shiney balls, or other Holiday do-dads.  Tops with a nice bow!  Have fun wreath building…
